Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of practical experience in designing, installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting multi-protocol networks
- Current certifications such as CCNA and CCNP are preferred
- Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex multisite infrastructures; experience in healthcare is a plus
- Proficient in configuring and managing routing and security protocols including BGP, OSPF, IPSec, and SSL
- Experience in the design, implementation, and support of networking equipment:
- Cisco and Juniper switches and routers
- Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper firewalls
- Cisco wireless controllers and access points; Cisco Prime
- Load balancers; Netscaler experience is a bonus
- ForeScout CounterACT experience is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess network availability and performance, ensuring adherence to high standards
- Recommend and implement solutions for various network systems such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Resolve complex network issues and serve as an escalation point for junior engineers and other teams; escalate to senior engineers or vendors when necessary
- Engage in incident management, asset management, change management, project management, and document root cause analyses
- Maintain thorough documentation of the network environment and associated systems
- Collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure excellent customer service
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours and weekend support
- Act as a team player by training and mentoring new team members
