Requirements
Must:
- We are looking for someone with 5 to 7+ years of experience in a Cisco engineering role, including network architecture and design in heterogeneous IT environments.
- We want hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking products.
- We require strong background in network design, specifications, architecture, and equipment planning.
- We need proven ability to configure and troubleshoot network devices, ideally within Cisco IOS environments.
- We value experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- We seek familiarity with integrating cloud services such as AWS and Azure with on-premises network infrastructure.
- We expect the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to data center networking infrastructure.
- We prefer candidates with experience documenting network designs and maintaining technical records.
- We want familiarity with network monitoring tools and operational best practices.
- We need excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- We expect strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- A bachelors degree is preferred.
- Cisco certifications, such as CCNP, are preferred but not required.
- Additional vendor certifications are a plus.
- Experience with network security practices and related solutions is preferred.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Responsibilities
- We design, deploy, support, and troubleshoot network and systems engineering solutions in a multi-vendor enterprise environment using Cisco Meraki.
- We support Palo Alto firewalls, cloud-based servers, VMware, and storage platforms.
- We perform network analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning for networking components, including traffic optimization.
- We create and maintain runbooks, workbooks, and other documentation to accurately reflect the current network environment.
- We coordinate with network administrators, business application teams, desktop support, and project management to maintain reliability and stability.
- We respond to new service requests and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and networking within agreed SLAs.
- We conduct routine network performance reviews and implement optimizations.
- We collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and integration partners to maintain network stability and performance.
- We assist with network upgrades and migration initiatives as needed.
