Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - Over 8 years of experience in MEP engineering, building systems design, or related fields. - At least 3 years of leadership or team management experience. - Deep knowledge of building systems including HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems. - Experience in design-build, industrial, healthcare, or commercial construction projects. - Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. - Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams. - Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. - Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred. - Familiarity with modular, offsite, or prefabricated construction environments is a plus. - Familiarity with commissioning processes and building performance validation is advantageous. - Proficiency in BIM and building systems modeling tools is beneficial. - Experience leading engineering teams in manufacturing or production settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop a passionate team of MEP engineers, designers, and technical specialists. - Establish engineering standards, workflows, and best practices across various MEP disciplines. - Manage team workload, project assignments, and resource allocations effectively. - Support professional development and performance management initiatives within the team. - Provide technical oversight for the design of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. - Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy. - Oversee integration and coordination of building systems across different disciplines. - Ensure designs are conducive to constructability, manufacturability, and operational efficiency. - Collaborate with architectural, structural, manufacturing, and construction teams to support project delivery. - Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination throughout the design phase. - Provide assistance during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages. - Help resolve field issues, RFIs, and necessary design modifications. - Ensure adherence to industry codes, regulatory requirements, and internal engineering standards. - Implement quality assurance and quality control processes for engineering deliverables. - Identify opportunities for system standardization and continuous improvement. - Act as a technical liaison among internal teams, clients, contractors, and external engineering partners. - Participate in design reviews and technical presentations with stakeholders. - Support value engineering initiatives and cost optimization strategies.
