Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required for signing off on plans or active Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive HVAC schematics, piping layouts, and ductwork designs using CAD software
- Execute heating and cooling load calculations, including HVAC loads and energy modeling, to determine suitable equipment
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, energy standards, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors for seamless system integration into building structures
- Conduct site assessments, inspect installations, and perform system testing and commissioning to guarantee optimal performance
