Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, ABET Accredited
- Over 5 years of experience in design, specifically related to data centers
- A minimum of 10 years in an MEP or integrated design firm focusing on commercial/public projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or capability to acquire Reciprocity
- Demonstrated expertise as a Mechanical Engineer in designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for complex projects
- Proficient understanding of the design and construction process with the ability to liaise effectively with various professional disciplines
- Skilled in Revit Software and experience with BIM workflows (e.g., Autodesk Revit MEP)
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
- LEED AP certification or experience with LEED or similar green certification systems is a plus
- Interest in sustainable building design is preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, coordinate, and implement mechanical systems for Mission Critical Projects such as Data Centers, Laboratories, and Cleanrooms
- Conduct Mechanical/HVAC calculations and plumbing/fire protection calculations while researching relevant codes
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and clients within our integrated design framework
- Produce and organize documentation using Revit, including writing and reviewing specifications
- Evaluate shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals as necessary
- Conduct site visits when required
- Lead mechanical project teams and/or interdisciplinary project teams
