Requirements
Must:
- Experience with Magento at scale and ensuring the availability and uptime of an enterprise storefront.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, particularly S3, IAM, EC2, and Code Pipeline.
- Over 5 years of experience with Linux, with strong scripting capabilities.
- At least 2 years of system administration experience with web applications on Linux, Apache or NGINX, MySQL, and PHP.
- Familiarity with git version control, code repositories, and collaborative development processes.
- Understanding of infrastructure and application security practices and principles.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Commanding soft skills including goal-orientation and strategic focus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Approachable and considerate demeanor in both personal and professional interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective documentation practices.
- Self-motivated as a remote employee, capable of maintaining productivity.
Responsibilities
- Assist the merchandising and content teams with daily production concerns.
- Perform manual maintenance tasks across test, staging, and production environments.
- Document system functionalities and workflows effectively.
- Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing for all production releases.
- Contribute to both application and infrastructure tasks and manage their interdependencies.
- Address critical system challenges promptly.
- Monitor application performance for issues or bugs using tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Blackfire.
- Identify business challenges, devise solutions, and collaborate with the team to implement them.
- Ensure production site reliability within both Magento and AWS frameworks.
