Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, vulnerability analysis, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Rapid7, Wiz, and Crowdstrike.
- Knowledge of CVSS, CVE Database, and OWASP Top 10.
- Proficient in patch management and endpoint security practices.
- Experience in incident response and managing security breaches.
- Understanding of SLAs and compliance standards like NIST, ISO, and PCI.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex security matters to non-technical personnel.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments utilizing various tools to identify and classify security weaknesses in systems and networks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Supervise security systems for potential incidents and breaches, conducting investigations as needed and providing responses to incidents.
- Stay informed on the latest vulnerabilities and threats, conducting research to enhance detection measures.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure systems are efficiently and promptly patched, adhering to patch management protocols.
- Work alongside the compliance team to verify that all systems and processes comply with NIST, ISO, PCI, and other regulatory standards.
- Develop and sustain a thorough understanding of CVSS, CVE Database, and OWASP Top 10 to aid in identifying potential vulnerabilities.
- Oversee endpoint security for possible breaches and devise strategies for future prevention.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of SLAs pertaining to security incidents and breaches.
- Deliver regular updates on the status of the IT security landscape and suggest avenues for improvement.
