Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field required
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or Business preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security
- At least 7 years in an IT architecture role with a strong customer service emphasis, preferably within Healthcare or Academic settings
- Proven experience in building project teams and driving organizational change
- Familiarity with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Some Project Management experience preferred
- Strong leadership qualities coupled with high initiative
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact between enterprise IT architects and systems security engineering teams
- Coordinate with system owners and stakeholders regarding the deployment of security controls
- Collaborate closely with CTO and CISO on security matters
- Assess weaknesses and deficiencies within IT systems
- Develop and maintain plans of action and milestones for risk mitigation
- Lead IT security architecture initiatives for secure IT system lifecycle management
- Educate IT process owners on the significance of controls and compliance with industry regulations
- Document IT security architecture while ensuring privacy and compliance requirements are met
- Execute continuous process improvements in existing architecture lifecycle processes
- Evaluate risks associated with new architectural designs and manage these risks appropriately
- Advise stakeholders on security best practices through risk-based analysis
- Align department-specific goals with broader organizational objectives
