Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Solid understanding of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, etc.)
- Proficient in reading blueprints and comprehending GD&T
- Familiar with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding processes
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and quality management software
- ASQ Certification (CQE or CQA) preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Support and uphold our AS9100 Quality Management System
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality control processes for precision sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, EDM, welding, and assembly operations
- Create and sustain documentation such as inspection plans, control plans, FAI reports, and PPAPs
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives
- Work with engineering, production, and inspection teams to address quality issues
- Assist with internal and external audits; prepare and maintain compliance documentation
- Provide training and guidance to operators and inspectors on quality standards and procedures
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards
- Utilize measurement tools and inspection equipment (CMM, micrometers, calipers, etc.) to confirm product accuracy
- Analyze data to recognize trends and implement process enhancements that reduce variation and defects
