Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards
- Experience with root cause analysis techniques (such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Familiarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding processes
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software
- ASQ Certification (CQE or CQA) preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Support and uphold our AS9100-certified Quality Management System
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality control processes for precision sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, EDM, welding, and assembly operations
- Create and maintain documentation such as inspection plans, control plans, FAI reports, and PPAPs
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and inspection teams to address quality concerns
- Assist with internal and external audits and maintain compliance records
- Provide training and direction to operators and inspectors on quality standards and procedures
- Engage with suppliers to ensure adherence to specifications and quality requirements
- Use measurement tools and inspection equipment (CMM, micrometers, calipers, etc.) to confirm product exactness
- Analyze data to recognize trends and implement process enhancements that diminish variation and defects
