Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server in an enterprise data warehouse setting.
- Proven track record of designing, maintaining, and optimizing data warehouses and BI-focused data models in SQL Server.
- Strong skills in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical applications.
- Background in architecting and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines for SQL Server environments.
- In-depth knowledge of data integration techniques (batch, delta, API, and event-driven).
- Practical experience with data governance, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI and their supporting data structures.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent education and substantial professional experience in data architecture, data engineering, or business intelligence.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex data issues, pipeline breakdowns, and system performance challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Experience working collaboratively with IT, business, analytics, and data engineering teams.
- Proficient in creating clear documentation, diagrams, specifications, data dictionaries, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and sustain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Create data structures that facilitate analytics, dashboards, operational reporting, and advanced BI applications.
- Architect data integration models (batch, streaming, API-based, message-driven) to meet enterprise BI requirements.
- Establish data quality frameworks, validation rules, and error-handling methodologies.
- Guide architecture decisions regarding data warehouses, data lakes, semantic layers, and reporting repositories.
- Conduct technical evaluations, current-state assessments, and future-state architecture strategies.
- Review and sanction data design for new projects, enhancements, and integrations.
- Develop and uphold architecture diagrams, system flows, interface maps, and technical guidelines.
