Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in Yardi or a comparable property management software
- Experience with multifamily and mixed-use properties
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset with initiative-taking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial aspects for a diverse portfolio of properties, including multifamily and mixed-use units
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Conduct regular audits to verify accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
- Utilize Yardi software to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with property managers and team members for accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for properties
- Reconcile bank statements and ledgers, address discrepancies, and uphold accurate financial records
- Work with external auditors and facilitate tax preparation for properties
- Keep abreast of industry trends and regulations to maintain compliance and competitive edge
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to management
