Requirements
Must:
- Advanced experience with Esprit CAM
- Strong background in programming 4-axis, 5-axis, and mill/turn CNC machines
- Familiarity with Siemens, Okuma, and Fanuc controls
- Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T requirements
- Solid understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Preferred: Completion of a machinist training program or associate degree in machining or manufacturing technology
- Preferred: Esprit or CNC programming certification
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs utilizing Esprit CAM for 4-axis horizontals, 5-axis milling, and mill/turn operations
- Support CNC machines including Okuma Multus, DN-SMX, and DMG MORI NTX platforms
- Perform CNC setups and collaborate with operators to validate program accuracy
- Interpret complex blueprints, models, and GD&T specifications
- Design workholding solutions and select suitable tooling for each project
- Assist with first-article inspections and adjust programs and cycles as necessary
- Review customer drawings and aid in RFQ efforts, including estimates for programming, setup, tooling, and cycle time
- Mentor CNC programmers and setup machinists to enhance team capability
- Maintain revision control and documentation for CNC programs and tooling
- Troubleshoot programming and process inefficiencies, driving continuous improvement initiatives
