Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- A Masters degree or higher is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, ideally within the space, defense, or aerospace sectors
- Proficient in RF, FDIR, Python, TROS, or similar technologies
- In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering best practices
- Proven track record in designing, developing, and testing embedded software systems
- Strong creative problem-solving abilities to tackle complex technical challenges
- Excellent collaboration skills, capable of thriving in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly
- Current knowledge of advancements in embedded software engineering, space technology, defense, and the aerospace industries
- A genuine passion for space exploration and a commitment to influencing the future of space travel and defense
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement embedded software for space systems, including satellites, launch vehicles, and ground stations
- Leverage expertise in RF, FDIR, Python, TROS, and similar technologies to create high-quality, efficient software
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and professionals to ensure project success
- Conduct software testing and debugging to verify software reliability and performance
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, sharing knowledge to enhance team performance
- Stay informed on the latest trends in embedded software engineering and related fields
- Participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback to elevate software quality
- Document all stages of the software development process, ensuring accuracy for future reference
