Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC design for commercial properties
- Familiarity with building HVAC load analysis and various HVAC system types
- Proven track record in designing HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
- Strong understanding of commercial construction practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Capacity to handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and industry regulations
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems for commercial construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping
- Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produce accurate 2D and 3D designs
- Oversee a team of engineers and other professionals in project planning and execution
- Assess mechanical systems for potential enhancements and redesigns
- Ensure all mechanical designs comply with project specifications, regulations, and quality standards
- Conduct site assessments to ensure the proper and efficient implementation of mechanical systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical design
- Offer technical advice and support to the construction teams
- Stay updated on technical knowledge and skills through workshops and research on emerging trends in the construction industry
