Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams, with a focus on Healthcare or Higher Education preferred; experience in Life Sciences or Industrial sectors is an advantage.
- At least 15 years of experience in design and production of construction documents, ideally in Healthcare or Higher Education, plus additional experience in Life Sciences or Industrial markets is a plus.
- Proven experience serving as Engineer of Record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (Masters in a relevant field is preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in milestone and final reviews of design outputs to guarantee outstanding quality of all deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Discipline Leads and Project Managers to review and provide constructive feedback on drawing sets and specifications.
- Identify and correct any errors or omissions in drawings and specifications, fostering a culture of excellence within the Technical Delivery Team.
- Drive Continuous Improvement by gathering insights from Discipline Leaders and Project Managers to derive Lessons Learned from each project.
- Formulate and execute actionable plans aimed at continuous enhancement of project performance.
- Oversee daily workload prioritization across all projects, ensuring efficient project assignments and resource allocation.
- Work in conjunction with Discipline Leads and Project Managers to effectively plan and manage project workloads.
- Anticipate resource requirements and facilitate their acquisition, whether temporarily from other offices or permanently through hiring.
- Collaborate with fellow Engineering Managers to optimize resource utilization, quality of production, and professional development.
- Monitor weekly labor utilization to maximize productivity and ensure project efficiency.
