Desktop Support Technician - IT Support

- Oversee complete payroll processing for various business entities and state locations - Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations - Lead certified payroll reporting and uphold prevailing wage standards for public projects - Maintain comprehensive records for job classifications, fringe benefits, and labor hours - Collaborate with compliance and project management teams to ensure labor tracking meets regulatory requirements - Act as the subject matter expert on certified payroll and prevailing wage regulations - Manage payroll system administration and vendor relations, particularly with UKG - Conduct payroll audits, verify data accuracy, and resolve issues promptly - Supervise payroll staff, offering training, performance evaluations, and recruitment support - Work closely with HR, Accounting, and Operations to align payroll practices - Generate payroll reports and analytics for both internal and external stakeholders - Ensure payroll tax filings, W-2 and 1099 processing, and year-end reporting are managed effectively - Assist with internal and external audits by safeguarding comprehensive documentation - Identify and implement process enhancements to boost payroll efficiency - Protect sensitive payroll information and guarantee secure handling of data - Provide assistance on complex payroll issues such as garnishments, retroactive pay, bonuses, and severance - Stay informed on payroll legislation, industry best practices, and compliance updates - Complete additional tasks as necessary or assigned
