Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Analytics, etc.), focusing on performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in AWS and/or Azure services tied to data, compute, storage, networking, and integration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD methodologies, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Git-based pipelines).
- Strong SQL skills, with an emphasis on debugging and optimizing queries.
- Experience in monitoring, incident management, capacity planning, and maintaining environment stability.
- Background in consulting, especially working with external clients.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, scrutinize, and enhance customer data platforms within cloud environments.
- Boost cost-effectiveness, performance, scalability, and dependability across Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and similar ecosystems.
- Utilize strong FinOps, data operations, and IT operations expertise to ensure platform stability and efficiency.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and platform deployments.
- Use Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and ensure environment consistency.
- Establish monitoring protocols, alert systems, runbooks, and best practices for incident management.
- Lead or assist with migrations, integrations, and modernization projects across cloud data warehouses, data lakes, and distributed systems.
- Assess and implement platform features and enhancements in line with customer business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on best practices, identifying risks, and facilitating ongoing platform development.
- Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear and predictable outcomes.
