Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise or classified data center operations
- Hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere / ESXi environments
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration
- Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Dell EMC or similar)
- Knowledge of Cisco and/or Palo Alto networking technologies
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or similar tools
- Strong background in incident, change, and configuration management processes
- Prior experience in classified government environments or cleared infrastructure facilities
- Ability to complete required COMSEC training within six months of hire
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a secure data center for classified workloads, ensuring system availability and adherence to security policies
- Conduct Tier 2-3 troubleshooting and manage preventive maintenance for servers, storage solutions, and networking systems
- Direct physical infrastructure tasks including rack-and-stack setups, structured cabling, environmental monitoring, and power distribution
- Supervise on-site technical staff and collaborate with systems, network, cybersecurity, and facilities teams to address operational challenges
- Serve as COMSEC Custodian, ensuring accountability and compliance for government-issued cryptographic materials
- Act as Major Incident Manager during outages or high-impact events, facilitating incident response and root-cause analysis
- Maintain asset inventories, lifecycle documentation, and configuration records utilizing enterprise service management platforms
- Support compliance efforts aligned with frameworks such as DISA STIG, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
- Prepare for and assist with inspections, audits, and customer site visits
- Liaise with vendors and stakeholders to guarantee infrastructure reliability and enhance performance
