Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally within the power utility industry
- Expertise in Solidworks and AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Proven experience in the design, analysis, and upkeep of mechanical systems in hydroelectric facilities
- Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and production processes
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and maintain mechanical systems in hydroelectric facilities according to industry standards
- Use software tools like Solidworks and AutoCAD to produce detailed 3D models and designs for mechanical equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Perform reliability assessments and risk evaluations of mechanical systems to ensure top performance and safety
- Engage in project planning and management, including cost estimates, budgeting, and scheduling
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards, including environmental and safety guidelines
