Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and architecture
- 5+ years of experience designing and supporting cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure)
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Proficient in automation and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Experience working with hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud)
- Strong background in Windows and/or Linux systems administration
- Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, security, and compliance best practices
- Preferred: Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, or Kubernetes
- Preferred: Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Preferred: Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Preferred: Background in enterprise or government settings
- Preferred: Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
Responsibilities
- Design and architect comprehensive cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions utilizing AWS and/or Azure
- Create architectural blueprints covering networking, computing, storage, security, and identity management
- Implement and standardize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Support hybrid environments by integrating on-premises systems with cloud platforms
- Optimize infrastructure for enhanced performance, scalability, reliability, and cost effectiveness
- Develop and implement monitoring, automation, and backup/recovery strategies
- Support containerized and serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Lead infrastructure modernization projects, including those supporting AI/ML workloads
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to develop solutions aligned with business goals
- Provide detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and knowledge transfer sessions
