Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field, Masters degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, especially in stormwater management, hydrology, environmental engineering, grading, site development, and Civil 3D
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a history of managing successful engineering teams
- Strong proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent
- Expertise in site layout, grading, utility design, and regulatory approvals
- Excellent project management capabilities, able to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Superior communication skills for conveying complex engineering concepts to team members and clients
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, with a knack for creating innovative solutions for challenging engineering issues
- Comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards in the engineering sector
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of civil engineers and technicians in the design and execution of various civil engineering projects
- Oversee the creation and execution of civil engineering plans, specifications, budgets, and timelines
- Utilize advanced knowledge in stormwater management, hydrology, environmental engineering, grading, site development, and Civil 3D to devise creative solutions
- Ensure timely project completion within budgetary constraints while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations and standards
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project specifications are met and exceeded
- Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with engineering standards and specifications
- Provide valuable guidance to team members, cultivating an environment of ongoing learning and enhancement
- Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to effectively manage project risks
