Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in developing and scaling backend systems, particularly in distributed environments.
- Proficient in modern infrastructure and backend technologies, including:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Containers (Docker)
- Messaging/queuing systems (Kafka)
- Relational databases (Postgres)
- Capable of engaging in detailed technical work while mentoring fellow engineers and guiding architectural choices.
- Skilled at managing end-to-end execution and addressing complex technical trade-offs.
- Comfortable in dynamic environments characterized by ambiguity and rapid change.
- Values teamwork, compassion, and contributing positively to a mission-driven engineering culture.
- Experience in healthcare is not mandatory; startup experience and adaptability are highly appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement major backend features incorporating state-of-the-art AI to enhance user experiences.
- Anticipate and address scaling challenges by re-engineering systems to maintain reliability, performance, and long-term stability.
- Spearhead significant product and infrastructure projects, facilitating rapid iterations while minimizing technical liabilities.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of major technical projects, from architectural design to deployment.
- Establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices that foster a high-quality, agile development environment.
