Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction sector with an emphasis on BIM technology
- Proficiency in BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and similar 3D modeling tools
- Strong comprehension of building construction, project sequencing, and architectural design principles
- Basic familiarity with structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and architectural systems
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Experience with laser scanning, generating point files, converting 2D drawings to 3D models, and delivering BIM as-builts
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Capability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Eagerness to stay current with the latest BIM technologies and industry developments
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored BIM workflows and procedures for each project
- Conduct constructability assessments and 3D coordination utilizing BIM software
- Create virtual design and construction (VDC) models using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and relevant applications
- Create, manage, and update 3D models utilized for construction management
- Collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure the integrity and quality of architectural designs
- Understand and execute building construction sequencing and scheduling
- Coordinate efforts with architects, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local building codes and regulations
- Utilize laser scanning technology to produce point files and transition 2D drawings into 3D models
- Deliver BIM as-built models upon project completion
- Train and mentor team members in BIM technology and associated software
- Remain informed of the latest advancements in BIM technology and industry standards
