Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- At least 3 years of experience in automation or process engineering within manufacturing
- Proficient troubleshooting abilities in automation, robotics, and control systems
- Familiarity with schematics (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
- Competence in MS Office and statistical analysis techniques
- Understanding of manufacturing standards such as IATF and ISO
- Capable of managing projects with diverse teams
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify automation challenges on automated assembly lines, injection molding, and metal processing machinery
- Conduct studies on machine and process capabilities, applying improvements as necessary
- Aid in the development and review processes of APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans
- Commission, program, and enhance automated systems, robots, and machinery controls
- Develop automation concepts for new initiatives and partner with Industrial Engineering
- Draft and revise work instructions, training materials, and technical documentation
- Identify and implement strategies for process optimization, enhancing quality, reducing costs, and boosting efficiency
- Lead problem-solving initiatives including 8D activities, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality regulations (ISO/IATF standards)
- Provide training to operators, engineers, and interns on automation systems
- Plan spare parts needs and support the long-term reliability of equipment
