Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the packaging sector.
- Demonstrated success in developing and expanding business across a multi-state region.
- Advanced skills in communication and negotiation.
- Experience in client prospecting, territory oversight, and account management.
- Proficiency in outside sales, lead generation, cold calling, and B2B sales.
- Strong capability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Excellent time-management and organizational capabilities.
- Superior customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to enhance growth in the designated territory and target market segments of the packaging sector.
- Conduct research to identify new potential clients and emerging market opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and manage accounts for existing clients while actively pursuing new prospects.
- Perform regular sales presentations and product demonstrations, negotiate agreements, and close deals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement marketing initiatives and materials.
- Maintain and oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and budget management.
- Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with key clients to ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to remain informed about market trends and competitors.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Provide consistent reports to senior management regarding sales metrics, opportunities, and risks.
