Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business preferred or equivalent experience in maintenance, production, or technical sales in the pulp & paper sector
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients and strong communication skills with a customer-centered focus
- Mechanical understanding and the capability to grasp mill operations and equipment performance
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management tools
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to delivering impactful technical solutions
- Availability for frequent travel within the designated region (expenses will be covered)
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with paper mill clients to uncover sales prospects
- Perform machine audits, optimization studies, and shutdown evaluations to enhance operational efficacy
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Service Engineer in your area to offer comprehensive support to customers
- Diagnose machine clothing, roll cover, and bowed roll challenges, providing actionable recommendations and solutions
- Assist mills in creating value reporting frameworks and ensuring accurate operational records
- Utilize proprietary modeling software to optimize press sections and boost machine efficiency
- Generate thorough on-site reports following service visits, outlining findings, opportunities, and subsequent actions
- Remain proactive in spotting new applications or product enhancements to address customer requirements
- Relay market trends, competitive information, and potential opportunities to the Regional Sales Manager
- Oversee an expense budget conforming to company regulations
