Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in designing hydraulic circuits (mechanical fluid flows, not electrical)
- Capability to create functional systems utilizing valves, manifolds, filtration, and related hydraulic components
- Experience in supporting customer applications within mobile or industrial equipment sectors
- Comfort in customer-facing roles with a collaborative sales approach
- Willingness to travel 40-50% within the South region (weekday travel)
- Robust understanding of engineering principles and system integration
- Self-motivated, organized, and adept at managing multiple customer projects
- Associate degree in engineering is mandatory; Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field is preferred
- Experience in designing and/or applying hydraulic solutions in mobile or industrial markets
Responsibilities
- Act as the hydraulic system design expert for designated customers and applications
- Accompany sales representatives to assist with customer visits, design consultations, and solution formulation
- Design hydraulic circuits, ensuring appropriate valve selection, manifold arrangement, filtration, and motion control components
- Convert customer functional needs into feasible hydraulic system solutions
- Review and understand technical specifications to apply them in product and system configurations
- Engage in design reviews with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams
- Address application inquiries from customers, sales, product engineering, and operations
- Aid customers in the implementation and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems
- Detect opportunities to enhance hydraulic product sales within existing accounts
- Provide feedback from customers to product divisions for new product development
- Educate and train sales teams on hydraulic products and solution-selling techniques
