Requirements

Must:
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance (must be current; no sponsorship available) - Over 5 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years concentrating on AWS cloud networking - Extensive hands-on expertise in: - AWS VPC design and routing - Site-to-Site VPN and/or AWS Direct Connect - Network Load Balancers (NLB) and Application Load Balancers (ALB) - DNS management with Route 53 - Strong grasp of TCP/IP, BGP, CIDR, DNS, firewalls, and network security measures - Experience in secure, regulated, or cleared environments - Capability to operate independently in a fully remote, distributed team setting - AWS Certifications (Preferred) - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) - Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and cloud-native security frameworks - Prior involvement with DoD or Intelligence Community projects - Knowledge of container networking (EKS, ECS)

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and sustain secure AWS network architectures including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, and transit gateways - Manage and oversee hybrid network connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, on-prem to cloud integrations) - Set up and maintain AWS networking services such as VPC Peering, Network Load Balancers, Route 53, and PrivateLink - Ensure adherence to DoD/Federal security standards (NIST, FedRAMP, STIGs, zero-trust principles) - Facilitate network segmentation, traffic flow optimization, and high availability across multi-account AWS environments - Collaborate with security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to integrate networking into CI/CD and IaC pipelines - Diagnose complex network performance, latency, and connectivity challenges in production settings - Contribute towards architecture documentation, network schematics, and operational runbooks
