Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting is required
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA certification or active candidate status is required; public accounting experience is preferred
- Proficiency with ERP and EPM systems is preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are a must
- Experience in real estate, utilities, or technology is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
- High attention to detail coupled with strong financial analysis skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report monthly revenues and expenses related to utilities and services
- Prepare and present detailed reports comparing results to established benchmarks
- Assist with month-end closing by generating journal entries in line with GAAP
- Work collaboratively with operations teams to collect data for accurate entries
- Conduct monthly variance analyses to support precise financial closing
- Ensure timely and accurate creation of monthly and annual financial reports
- Coordinate external audits and respond to tax-related inquiries
- Complete and review monthly general ledger account reconciliations
- Update billing rate information in accordance with utility rate structures
- Provide ad-hoc financial analyses and general support for the Finance team
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and oversee daily cash availability
- Recommend effective solutions for financial and operational challenges using sound judgment
- Uphold organizational values such as performance, communication, leadership, quality, knowledge, and teamwork
- Undertake additional projects or tasks as required
