Requirements
Must:
- 4 to 7 years of experience in engineering management, leading high-performing technical teams
- Recent hands-on engineering experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, Python, or Go
- Strong background in B2B SaaS product development and scalable cloud-based systems
- Demonstrated passion for AI and machine learning, capable of discussing contemporary AI trends
- Experience directly working on AI-powered products or platforms
- Excellent communication skills and leadership presence, particularly within distributed and remote teams
- Willingness to engage in on-call, stand-by, or off-hours responsibilities as necessary
Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-disciplinary AI product engineering team, overseeing strategy, execution, and delivery for various AI-driven experiences
- Define and steer the technical direction for AI systems, including inference backends, retrieval structures, and user-facing AI functionalities
- Closely collaborate with AI research and model training teams to harmonize model capabilities, evaluation frameworks, and paths to production
- Uphold high standards for reliability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency of AI inference services
- Supervise infrastructure operations, including on-call schedules and operational readiness in cloud environments
- Function in a dual role, dedicating roughly half of the time to hands-on engineering activities such as writing evaluations, testing, debugging, and contributing to core systems
