Requirements
Must:
- BS Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience
- 3-4 years of solid design experience
- 3-4 years of proficiency with HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery
- 1-2 years of experience using JavaScript frameworks
- Familiarity with responsive design techniques and practices
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is preferred
- Deep understanding of the entire development process including design, development, and deployment
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, effectively organize and prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong initiative and self-starting ability to address issues proactively
Responsibilities
- Convert UI/UX design wireframes into actual code that creates visual elements of applications
- Produce functional website pages based on designs, ensuring compatibility across multiple platforms and browsers
- Develop well-structured and maintainable CSS/CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, and HTML/HTML5 for large-scale, responsive websites
- Create reusable code and libraries for future development efforts
- Ensure the technical viability of UI/UX designs
- Validate all user inputs prior to submitting to back-end systems
- Collaborate effectively with product owners, back-end developers, and web designers
- Work both independently and in small team settings
- Engage with development and QA teams to write HTML/CSS/JavaScript, testing and verifying projects throughout the development cycle
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and efficiency
- Continually assess and enhance front-end performance
- Execute site optimization for SEO and page performance
