Requirements
Must:
- Extensive understanding of product development procedures and data management principles.
- 2-3+ years of practical experience managing SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional in a production environment (multi-site experience preferred).
- Proven ability to develop and support SOLIDWORKS PDM automation utilizing the PDM API (C#/.NET), Dispatch, PowerShell, task add-ins, and COM based API integrations.
- Proficiency in CAD applications, with SOLIDWORKS as a necessity and familiarity with AutoCAD or other Autodesk software as a bonus.
- Experience in providing support to engineering users in manufacturing, engineering, or product development settings.
- Capable of coordinating and executing upgrades, patches, licensing, and changes in environments with IT and third-party vendors.
- Knowledge in implementing and supporting project management platforms for workflow and change control (ECR), with Wrike being preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.
- Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft 365 collaboration suite.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening test.
Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and uphold SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional and CAD systems, including vault setups, workflows, permissions, metadata, templates, and libraries.
- Create, launch, and maintain automation and custom solutions, including SOLIDWORKS PDM API integrations, macros, and other relevant tools to enhance engineering productivity.
- Provide technical assistance, training sessions, and uphold standards for CAD and PDM users across various locations.
- Assist in the ECR change process by maintaining revision control and traceability within SOLIDWORKS PDM, including support for integrations with project management and work tracking systems.
- Oversee the integration of SOLIDWORKS PDM with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (via CADLink), ensuring smooth and reliable data transfer between PDM and ERP systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams (such as IT) and external vendors regarding system upgrades, patches, licensing, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and implement improvements for CAD and PDM through organized project planning and execution.
