Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience through technical training or recognized certification programs
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in computer systems or related areas
- Proven experience in maintaining Operating Systems and support applications in both centralized and distributed server environments
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under deadlines
- Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
- Valid state-issued drivers license preferred
- Experience with Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktop operating systems
- Familiarity with Windows Server 2008/12/16 installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with large-scale storage solutions such as EMC SAM, NetApp SAN, and iSCSI devices
- Understanding of Windows virtualization environments, including Hyper-V and VMware
- Competency in remote desktop computing environments such as CITRIX, VD, RDP, and ICA
- Ability to implement high availability, fault-tolerant computing solutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft failover clustering in versions 2008/12/16
- Knowledge of Microsoft domain services, including Active Directory, DNS, and Remote Access services
- Experience with blade systems, physical desktop systems, and thin client technologies (e.g., Wyse)
- Awareness of JSIG/RMF compliance and security controls for documentation, assessment, and continuous monitoring
- Capable of ensuring secure communication through routers and switches
Responsibilities
- Evaluate system specifications and requirements for enterprise computer systems
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, focusing on operating system and network compatibility
- Ensure the effective performance of workstations and server systems
- Collaborate with team members and work independently under minimal supervision
- Maintain and update systems as necessary to ensure operational efficiency
- Monitor system compliance with security standards and perform audits as needed
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance in various computing environments
