Requirements
Must:
- Completion of technical training with four (4) to ten (10) years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with two (2) to seven (7) years of relevant experience, or a related bachelors or masters degree with corresponding experience.
- Understanding of engineering and technical/computer concepts, principles, and practices for effective project authority.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Proficient in computer systems and integrated software applications.
- Eligible for and able to maintain a government security clearance.
- Valid state-issued drivers license.
Responsibilities
- Support developmental and operational testing of systems for internal and external customers.
- Serve as the liaison between instrumentation engineers and testing clients to ensure necessary data is available for accurate analysis.
- Apply knowledge of the testing process with a focus on video acquisition and distribution data transport, communications, and situational awareness.
- Possess understanding of networking and data link protocols such as IP, Ethernet, and Frame-Relay.
- Conduct daily troubleshooting and network monitoring tasks.
- Recommend enhancements to procedures for improved efficiency.
- Have familiarity with video editing formats for product creation.
- Undertake post-production editing to transform raw footage into polished videos, including audio enhancements, and ensure punctual delivery.
- Assist in executing test activities from control centers.
- Offer technical advice on operational challenges, firmware updates, and maintenance.
- Help in drafting final test reports.
- Provide additional related support as requested.
- Directly interact with clients and resolve issues ranging from simple to complex in a fast-paced operational setting.
