Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in engineering or a related technical field or equivalent military/technical training
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in the specialty area
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts and practices relevant to complex projects
- Proficiency in applying engineering developments to resolve specific issues
- Familiarity with computer systems and integrated software applications
- Capability to investigate, troubleshoot, and devise solutions for hardware and software problems
- Outstanding communication and analytical abilities
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Experience with CISCO network equipment
- Familiarity with CIENA Optical Transport Network equipment
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead on complex field engineering assignments
- Design, implement, test, and maintain network and telecommunications equipment and systems
- Lead network engineering initiatives on-field assignments
- Demonstrate proficiency across diverse networking hardware and technologies
- Maintain a strong grasp of WAN/LAN systems for voice, data, and video transmission
- Craft and deploy solutions adhering to commercial network standards
- Work with network layers 2/2 and TDM networking equipment
- Manage and oversee system interconnects with commercial carrier services
- Troubleshoot and repair physical logical network infrastructure
