Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience through technical training or certifications
- Minimum of 9 years of expertise in computer systems and related areas
- Broad knowledge of principles and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems
- Experience in maintaining operating systems and support applications in both centralized and distributed server environments
- Valid state-issued drivers license
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI and SAP access
- CompTIA Security+ certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment or possess a current certification
- Experience with networking hardware, software, and protocols, particularly routers, switches, firewalls, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF
- Certification in CCNP Enterprise or higher is preferred
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and Ansible
Responsibilities
- Evaluate system specifications and install enterprise computer systems
- Configure systems to establish standards and ensure hardware/software compatibility
- Provide daily operational support for the computer operating system including security, access, configuration, backups, and restorations
- Specify network requirements, monitor LAN performance, and troubleshoot networking hardware
- Organize and secure directory structures while assisting staff with Document Management Systems
- Maintain and design functional and visually appealing web pages
- Specify hardware requirements and manage computer authorization and equipment tracking logs
- Act as the point of contact for problem reporting and version updates, and monitor yearly support contracts
- Recommend future hardware/software implementations and process improvements
- Schedule and perform system upgrades across various environments
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues
- Manage and administer both NAS and SAN storage solutions
- Mentor and develop junior network engineers with training plans as needed
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to individuals with varying levels of understanding

At JT4, we provide comprehensive engineering and technical support for multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, known as J-Tech II.
