Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field with at least eight years of experience, or a masters degree and six years of experience, or a PhD with four years of experience
- Proven expertise with computer-based systems and applications
- Proficient programming skills in C++, C, and Python 3
- Strong understanding of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented software design
- Skilled in developing parallel processes, threading, and process communication
- Familiarity with Git for version control in both Linux and Windows environments
- Comfortable with Red Hat Linux
- Knowledgeable about live-virtual-constructive simulation and aircraft avionics (MIL-STD-1153 and MIL-STD-1773)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines
- Eligible for a DOD Top Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Oversee software/system projects and provide guidance to technical personnel
- Regularly interact with clients and project managers
- Utilize judgment to address complex technical and managerial challenges
- Capture and manage customer requirements at a system level
- Develop and analyze strategic approaches to solve intricate technical issues
- Act as the system architect managing overall system design and configuration
- Create the design for system/software and related design documentation
- Prepare and conduct design review sessions
- Implement projects through software coding or hardware integration and document the process
- Plan and execute unit, integration, and system tests
- Manage maintenance and support activities for system/software
- Direct the work of subordinate technical staff
- Foster positive relationships with clients
- Support business development efforts and lead proposal initiatives as a technical consultant
- Perform additional job-related tasks as necessary
Description
At JT4, LLC, we are seeking a skilled Software Systems Engineer to join our team at China Lake, where we provide engineering and technical support to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. We specialize in creating realistic, integrated test and training environments to prepare our nations defense systems for current and future challenges. This role is not eligible for telework, and applicants must hold a current Secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret. We offer competitive salaries ranging from $127,587.20 to $175,443.84 annually.
