I am looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience through technical training, completion of a recognized certification program, or applicable work experience. The ideal applicant will have at least 9 years of experience in areas related to computer systems. A broad understanding of principles, practices, and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems is essential. Specific experience in maintaining Operating Systems and supporting applications within both centralized and distributed server environments is also required. I expect candidates to hold a valid, state-issued driver's license, and the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance is necessary. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must complete or possess a CompTIA Security certification within the first six months of employment.
Responsibilities
In this role, I need you to evaluate system specifications, install enterprise computer systems, configure these systems, establish standards, ensure hardware/software compatibility, and maintain workstations and server systems with a focus on the Operating System and network. You will provide daily operational support for the computer Operating System, handling aspects such as system security, access, configuration, backups, and restoration processes. Additionally, you will specify network requirements, monitor LAN performance, troubleshoot networking hardware, and ensure systems are functioning according to set specifications. Your duties will include organizing and securing the directory structure, assisting and training staff members in the use of Document Management Systems and related procedures, designing and maintaining functional and aesthetically pleasing web pages, and specifying hardware requirements. You will serve as the point of contact for problem reporting and yearly support contract monitoring, make recommendations for future hardware/software implementations, and plan and execute system upgrades. I also expect you to analyze system logs to identify potential issues and manage storage solutions like NAS and SAN systems.

We are particularly interested in problem solvers who excel in administering and deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, with hands-on experience in navigating Red Hat Linux using the command line interface. Teamwork is crucial, so you need to collaborate effectively with various teams and entities. Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux is necessary, while knowledge of SUSE Linux would be advantageous. A minimum of 5 years in building and managing Red Hat systems is essential, with the capability to manage via CLI rather than solely through the GUI. Experience with Ansible and scripting is preferred. Additionally, you should be able to configure a hybrid environment made up of Windows and Red Hat systems and patch Red Hat systems as needed. Our employees are expected to implement the operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of relevant plans, procedures, and policies. The working conditions typically resemble an office environment with occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), regular sitting, and the use of computer systems. Constant mental alertness is necessary. The salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $140,000 annually, determined by various factors such as responsibilities, work experience, and education.
