Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree or higher in Computer/Information Technology or equivalent training
- Minimum of seven years relevant experience or a combination of experience in computer systems and related areas
- In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in computer science and information systems
- Proficiency in managing LINUX and UNIX operating systems on enterprise servers
- Familiarity with Red Hat, Windows Server maintenance, and application installations
- Experience with scripting languages such as C-Shell, bash, Perl, PowerShell, or Python
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, NFS, and DHCP
- Ability to secure, maintain, and update server systems
- Experience with MS Windows server environments and CAD/CAM software
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, able to meet deadlines
- Capability to update or repair computer systems
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Valid state-issued drivers license required
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, secure, and maintain LINUX and UNIX operating systems on enterprise servers
- Ensure hardware and software compatibility and manage 3rd party tools installations
- Monitor and troubleshoot networking hardware and local area network (LAN) performance
- Perform daily operations of MS Windows server software, including system security and backups
- Organize and secure directory structures, assisting staff with system usage
- Manage Document Management (DM) systems and associated databases
- Design and maintain functional and visually appealing web pages
- Specify hardware requirements and track equipment configurations
- Act as the point of contact for problem reporting and software updates
- Recommend future hardware/software implementations and facilitate system upgrades
- Provide operational status as required
- Complete complex assignments with originality and minimal supervision
