Requirements
Must:
- Completion of technical training and four years of relevant experience, or an associate degree and two years of relevant experience, or a bachelors degree in engineering, math, computer science, or physics.
- Strong understanding of concepts, principles, and practices in engineering and analysis to serve as a technical authority on specific programs.
- Excellent communication and analytical capabilities.
- Proficient knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.
- Ability to qualify for and maintain a government security clearance.
- Valid state-issued drivers license.
- Familiarity with networking and data link protocols such as IP, Ethernet, and Frame-Relay.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developmental and operational testing of systems for internal and external customers.
- Act as a liaison between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure required parametric data is available for analysis and accurately reflects system configuration.
- Contribute expertise in the testing process, focusing on video acquisition, data transport, communications, situational awareness, and support systems in real-time mission support.
- Perform daily troubleshooting and network monitoring activities.
- Recommend enhancements to procedures for improved efficiency.
- Adhere to computer operation policies, standards, and procedures.
- Aid in maintenance and inventory control of computer equipment.
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for operational software issues and develop solutions.
- Organize computer data input and output.
- Support investigation to identify sources of non-standard irregularities.
- Analyze and recover from complex program operation errors.
- Offer related support as required.
