Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Tactical Data Link/BC3, including upgrades and troubleshooting software/hardware
- Knowledge of Link 16 operations at a minimum of JTIDS 101
- At least 4 years of relevant Data Link experience
- Completion of AJOC (JT-310) course is highly recommended
- Associates Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or related technical field, or equivalent military training
- At least 7 years of technical or professional experience in the specialty field
- Proficient in MS Office and web-enabled applications
- Strong planning and organizational skills while meeting deadlines
- Capability to update or repair computer systems
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (must obtain if not already held within six months)
- Professional knowledge of engineering concepts and principles, and familiarity with related engineering fields
- Practical knowledge of test methods sufficient to perform routine and complex engineering tasks
- Must qualify for and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance, possibly with SCI
Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of foundational tasks under the guidance of a senior engineer, focusing on installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems
- Manage operations and maintenance on assigned Joint Data Network (JDNA)/Link 16 equipment
- Report to Joint Interface Control Cell (JICC) on system administration matters
- Collaborate with relevant technical teams to resolve all computer-related support issues for JICC systems
- Assist in the operation and upkeep of the Joint Data Network (JDN)
- Contribute to the design, development, modification, and analysis of Link 16/Situational Awareness Data Link hardware and systems
- Configure and manage Link-16 equipment, including Joint Range Extension, Link Monitoring and Management Tool, and other related systems
- Perform both corrective and preventive maintenance on all assigned devices
- Identify malfunctions in existing systems and implement modifications for improvement
- Undertake system administration tasks, including network management on Unix/Linux systems
- Conduct upgrades and installations for Windows 7/10 systems
- Facilitate Link 16 operations at a minimum of JTIDS 101 levels
- Collaborate closely with project management, engineering teams, and quality assurance to design and deploy systems
- Complete other position-related duties as required
