Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree or higher in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training/certification.
- Two to three years of experience in computer system security or related fields.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M standards and possession or progress towards Security+ certification; CISSP is preferred.
- Experience with JSIG, NIST 800, and NISPOM, Chapter 8.
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer security principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Access, and Visio.
- Familiarity with supporting a range of system configurations including Stand Alone, Local Area Networks, and Wide Area Networks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, and organization skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and independently on varied assignments.
- Capability to work in a field environment and travel for short stays when necessary.
- Eligibility for and maintenance of a government security clearance.
- Valid state-issued drivers license.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage information systems while maintaining operational integrity.
- Develop and update System Security Plans.
- Manage and control system changes.
- Conduct audits and provide incident response.
- Prepare for vulnerability assessments and assess security impact of changes.
- Collaborate with the Facility Security Office and Information Systems Security Officer/Manager on incident handling.
- Assist in crafting and maintaining computer security processes in compliance with Air Force Risk Management Framework requirements.
- Monitor system usage and audit logs for security practices.
- Recommend enhancements for future hardware/software and related processes.
- Provide operational status updates as needed.
- Utilize established policies and subject matter expertise to complete complex assignments with minimal supervision.
- Deliver security training and awareness briefings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
