Requirements
Must:
- Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology or equivalent academic/technical training/certification.
- 2-3 years of experience in computer system security or related fields.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M levels and possess or be working toward Security+ certification (CISSP preferred).
- Proficient in principles, practices, and procedures related to computer security and information systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Access, and Visio.
- Familiarity with various system setups, including Stand Alone, Local Area Networks, and Wide Area Networks.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and planning skills, capable of meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work in a field environment, occasionally requiring overnight assignments.
- Must qualify for and uphold a government security clearance.
- Valid state-issued drivers license required.
Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, and implement cybersecurity programs and controls.
- Monitor information systems and maintain operational environments.
- Develop and update System Security Plans.
- Manage and administer changes to systems, ensuring compliance.
- Conduct audits and provide incident response.
- Prepare for vulnerability assessments and analyze security impacts of changes.
- Collaborate with the Facility Security Office and Information Systems Security Manager in incident handling.
- Assist in drafting and preserving computer security protocols to meet Air Force Risk Management Framework standards.
- Monitor computer system usage and review audit logs.
- Recommend future hardware/software solutions and processes.
- Deliver security training and awareness sessions.
- Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
Description
At JT4, China Lake, we are on the lookout for an Information Systems Security Specialist to enhance our cybersecurity efforts. We are dedicated to providing engineering and technical support to multiple test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract. Our commitment is to create integrated testing and training environments that prepare our nations war-fighting capabilities for both present and future challenges. This position is located at our China Lake facility and does not offer telework options.
