Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree or higher in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent training or certification.
- Two to three years of experience in computer system security or related fields.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M standards; Security+ certification preferred, CISSP desired.
- Broad knowledge of computer security and information systems practices and principles.
- Experience with various system configurations such as Standalone, Local Area Networks, and Wide Area Networks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, and Visio.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with planning and organizational abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage complex assignments independently.
- Capacity to work in field environments at remote locations with occasional overnight duties.
- Eligibility for maintaining government security clearance.
- Valid, state-issued drivers license.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site technical expert for monitoring information systems and ensuring operational integrity.
- Develop and update System Security Plans and manage system change controls.
- Conduct security audits and provide incident response management.
- Prepare for vulnerability assessments and evaluate security implications of changes.
- Collaborate with the Facility Security Office and Information Security Officer/Information Systems Security Manager for incident handling.
- Assist in documenting and maintaining security processes to align with Air Force Risk Management Framework standards.
- Monitor system usage and audit logs for compliance and security validation.
- Recommend future hardware/software upgrades and process enhancements.
- Provide operational status reports as required.
- Deliver security training and awareness briefings to relevant personnel.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
