Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or an accredited Masters in engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a doctoral degree in engineering
- Mastery of engineering concepts and practices to act as a technical authority on related projects
- Ability to apply current engineering developments for problem-solving
- Familiarity with computer systems and engineering tools
- Proficient in troubleshooting and designing solutions for hardware and software issues
- Excellent communication and analytical capabilities
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years of related experience for Computer Scientist III, or a Masters degree with 2 years of experience, or a PhD in a relevant discipline
- Experience with computer-based systems and applications
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to job-specific tasks
- Knowledge of standard hardware and software design techniques
- Understanding of systems engineering and software development lifecycles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational and planning abilities
Responsibilities
- Work within research and development engineering teams to contribute to a variety of tasks
- Design and integrate software for multiple platforms to provide system instrumentation and radar control
- Collect and analyze data while developing applications across various domains
- Collaborate in an iterative process to devise innovative solutions for software challenges
- Manage assignments involving design, development, analysis, and review tasks while adhering to project deadlines
- Perform planning and oversight of research, design, and testing for software associated with electronic and mechanical systems
- Ensure operational effectiveness and maintenance of diverse software solutions
- Conduct extensive testing and verification of systems to confirm operational readiness

At JT4, LLC, we provide engineering and technical support to various western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy through the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, known as J-Tech II.
