Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 12 years of practical experience in virtualization engineering and infrastructure operations
- Strong proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and NSX-T
- Experience overseeing large-scale enterprise VMware clusters and multi-site setups
- Skilled in PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar automation scripting tools
- Comprehensive understanding of networking principles such as VLANs, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing, and routing
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions like Veeam, Commvault, or equivalents
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities for complex infrastructure challenges
- Experience with enterprise storage platforms including NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, or HPE
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical and leadership teams
- Strong communication and documentation capabilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, configuration, and enhancement of VMware virtualization environments
- Manage and ensure the proper functioning of VMware vSphere, ESXi clusters, vCenter Server, vSAN, and NSX environments
- Plan and carry out migrations, upgrades, and capacity expansion tasks
- Conduct performance optimization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution
- Establish and implement best practices, policies, and standards for virtualization, data backup, and disaster recovery
- Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams to create scalable virtualization infrastructure solutions
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and technical support staff
- Engage in automation and scripting projects to improve provisioning and operational processes
- Integrate virtualization platforms with storage, networking, and cloud services
- Support the planning and execution of disaster recovery drills and business continuity strategies
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including designs, standard operating procedures, system diagrams, and configuration standards
