Requirements
Must:
- 12+ years of experience in UI design and development, including leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques.
- Familiarity with modern UI frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalents.
- Deep understanding of UX design principles, usability research, and product lifecycle.
- Experience in creating and managing UI component libraries and scalable design systems.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design choices.
- Practical knowledge of accessibility standards, cross-browser compatibility, and performance enhancement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete UI design and implementation for both web and mobile applications.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance UI design systems and component libraries.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineering teams to convert requirements into high-quality UI designs.
- Evaluate UI outputs from design and development teams to ensure alignment with standards of consistency, usability, accessibility, and branding.
- Conduct design assessments, usability tests, and offer constructive feedback.
- Ensure UI functionality across various devices, platforms, and browsers.
- Promote the adoption of UI best practices, accessibility guidelines (WCAG), and responsive design methodologies.
- Engage in architectural and technical discussions that affect UI development.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to UI team members.
- Prepare necessary documentation, prototypes, wireframes, and visual design assets for developers.
