Requirements
Must:
- 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering and architecture roles
- Deep understanding of enterprise security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and Zero Trust
- Expertise in security architecture for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, IAM, PAM, DLP, EDR, firewalls, and encryption technologies
- Practical experience in designing secure networks, infrastructures, and cloud solutions
- Strong grasp of identity and access management technologies and SSO frameworks
- Proficient in threat modeling, risk assessment, and security design evaluations
- Experienced with vulnerability management and cybersecurity monitoring tools
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and facilitate complex architectural discussions
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
- Background in large enterprise or government environments is preferred
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or relevant cloud security certifications are highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Direct the design, architecture, and deployment of enterprise security solutions across infrastructure, cloud, network, and applications
- Perform security assessments and conduct risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and suggest mitigation strategies
- Establish security architecture standards, policies, and reference designs
- Drive the development of Zero Trust security strategies and architecture blueprints
- Assess new security tools, technologies, and third-party solutions to improve security posture
- Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed security within the solution development lifecycle
- Review security configuration designs and endorse architecture for high-impact projects
- Execute threat modeling, cybersecurity architecture reviews, and system-level security testing
- Produce documentation for architecture patterns, technical designs, and security guidelines
- Offer leadership and technical mentoring to engineering teams and stakeholders
- Assist with audit, governance, and compliance requirements including regulatory security standards
- Respond to significant security incidents and provide technical support for resolution
Description
We are looking for an accomplished Security Solutions Architect Lead Engineer to guide the design and implementation of enterprise security solutions at our company. Our team collaborates across infrastructure, network, cloud, and application areas to create secure systems, develop security roadmaps, assess emerging technologies, and uphold security standards throughout the organization. We offer a dynamic work environment in Billings, Montana, and value professionals with a strong foundation in security architecture and engineering. This is a contract position that allows for both in-person and webcam interviews.
