Requirements
Must:
- 12+ years of professional experience in enterprise networking, performance engineering, and optimization
- Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN)
- Practical experience with SD-WAN platforms, network QoS, load balancing, and traffic engineering
- Advanced knowledge of WAN optimization techniques and network performance measurement
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar
- Proficiency with monitoring and analysis tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP, ThousandEyes, etc.)
- Strong understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid connectivity
- Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, NAC, and segmentation
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage intricate network transformations
- Strong leadership skills with a clear communication style to manage stakeholder expectations
- Preferred certifications: CCIE, JNCIE, CCDP, AWS/Azure networking certifications
Responsibilities
- Direct the design, implementation, and refinement of enterprise network infrastructure
- Conduct thorough network analysis to pinpoint performance challenges, bottlenecks, and enhancement opportunities
- Establish and sustain network performance baselines, KPIs, capacity planning strategies, and scalability frameworks
- Supervise optimizations for routing, switching, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and load balancing
- Deploy network automation and orchestration solutions to boost reliability and efficiency
- Perform performance testing, incident resolution, and root cause analysis for network disruptions or decline
- Ensure network security, compliance, redundancy, and preparedness for disaster recovery
- Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure network design aligns with business needs
- Produce technical documentation, optimization reports, and executive-level summaries
- Mentor engineering teams and advocate for best practices in performance engineering
